PARIS, June 24 (Reuters) - Below is company-related news and leading stories from French and Benelux newspapers which could have an impact on the region's markets or individual stocks.

CREDIT AGRICOLE (CAGR.PA) / CLUB MED (CMIP.PA)

The French bank is set to take a seat on the board of holiday resort group Club Med, French newspaper Les Echos reported on Wednesday, citing Club Med's management. [ID:nLO598199] [CMIP.PA]

RENAULT (RENA.PA)

The French carmaker will invest 500 million pesos ($128 million) between 2009 and 2011 in its Argentine unit to begin production of a new vehicle and modernize a plant, the company said on Tuesday. FRANCE TELECOM (FTE.PA)

TOTAL (TOTF.PA)

The French CECEI bank regulator has approved the merger between Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne.

AIR FRANCE-KLM (AIRF.PA)

Air France-KLM said it had raised 661 million euros in a convertible bond deal. The bonds will mature on April 1, 2015. [AIRF.PA-E]

GIMV (GIMV.BR)

The world's largest steelmaker sees recovery in world steel demand as largely dependent on China and emerging markets, like Brazil, where growth has already begun. "At least from our experience, Brazil is recovering relatively rapidly, in comparison to North America," Lou Schorsch, chief executive officer of the company's Flat Americas division told the Steel Survival Strategies conference on Tuesday. JOBLESS RATE OECD
