STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Filtrona rises on positive Q1, outlook

Shares in Filtrona Plc (FLTR.L) rise 5.8 percent after the plastics and fibre products company says trading in the first quarter was in line with its expectations and that it is comfortable with its outlook for the year.

"We see value at current levels as we believe there is substantial scope for recovery in the plastics business when economies improve", says Mike Murphy, analyst with Numis Securities, which has an "add" rating on the stock with a target price of 130 pence.
