STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Qiagen gains, CFO optimistic on 2009

Shares in Qiagen (QGEN.DE) gain 4.6 percent to 13.37 euros, making them the top gainers among German tech stocks .TECDAX, after the biotech's CFO, Roland Sackers, told investor newsletter TradeCentre he was optimistic regarding 2009 and reiterated the company's 2009 forecast of an operating margin of 29 percent.

"(This is) quite an optimistic tone and should help the company's shares," says a Frankfurt-based trader.

A break-through of resistance at 12.90-13 euros also triggered a strong buy signal, the trader says. For more double click on [ID:nWEA8191]
