GREECE IN RECESSION IN 2009, BUDGET GAP AT 6 PCT-OECD

Greece's economy is seen contracting this year as exports weaken, with a slow recovery projected for next year as the global environment improves, the OECD said in its economic outlook on Wednesday. [ID:nLO280174]

GREECE'S MYTILINEOS TO BID FOR LARCO-CEO

GREECE TO AUCTION T-BILLS JULY 14, 21- PDMA

Greece's Public Debt Management Agency (PDMA) said on Wednesday it will auction 26- and 52-week T-bills on July 14 and 13-week T-bills on July 21. [ID:nLO105730]

GREECE TO DECIDE ON NEW FISCAL MEASURES

Greece's interministerial committee on economic policy meets on Thursday to decide on the first set of new measures aimed at cutting down the budget deficit, financial daily Kathimerini reported. The new set of measures will include tax increases on fuel and mobile phones, the paper said.

J&P AVAX SEES BACKLOG RISING TO 3 BLN EUROS

J&P Avax (AVAr.AT) expects revenues of about 1 billion euros in 2009 while its backlog is seen rising to 3 billion euros after the signing of new projects in the coming months, the company's management told shareholders, financial daily Kerdos reported.

EUROPEAN SHARES SEEN OPENING LOWER AFTER FED

European stock index futures pointed to a softer start on Thursday after U.S. equity markets ended mixed, with the Federal Reserve reiterating concerns about the economic outlook, having left interest rates unchanged. [ID:nLP3935]

FOREIGN TOURIST SPENDING DOWN 11.6% IN JAN-APRIL

Spending by foreign tourists dropped 11.6 percent year-on-year in the first four months of 2009, according to data from the Bank of Greece, financial daily Imerisia reported. In the same period, tourist arrivals at Greek airports fell 6.8 percent year-on-year, the paper added, citing data from the Civil Aviation Authority.

GREEK FLIGHTS DISRUPTED FOR FOUR HOURS THURSDAY
