ETF Securities gold ETC holdings fall 1.3 pct
LONDON, June 29 (Reuters) - ETF Securities said on Monday the amount of gold it holds to back its Gold Bullion Securities exchange-traded commodity fund declined 567 ounces on June 26.
Its Gold-backed GBS (GBSx.L) is now backed by 4,336,185 million ounces of bullion against 4,366,752 ounces the week before, it said in a report.
On a daily basis, gold holdings were unchanged on June 26 compared with the previous day.
Holdings of the company's physical platinum (PHPT.L) fell to 321,684 ounces on June 26 compared to 337,801 the previous day. Silver and palladium holdings were unchanged.
The company issues securities backed by physical stocks of commodities such as precious metals, giving investors exposure to movements in the asset price without having to buy and store the commodity themselves.
