STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Index futures point to a weaker start

European stock index futures point to a lower open after closing higher in the previous session, with investors awaiting U.S. GDP numbers and a slew of earnings news.

Futures for the Euro STOXX 50 STXEc1, Germany's DAX FDXc1 and French CAC FCEc1 are down 0.3-0.5 percent.

The FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top European shares ended 2.2 percent higher at 930.62 points on Thursday, the highest finish since early November of last year.
