NEW YORK, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Amicus Therapeutics Inc (FOLD.O) shares plunged 33.4 percent to $5.66 in extended trade on Friday after the company said its Plicera treatment for Gaucher disease failed to meet its endpoint in a Phase 2 study and does not expect the treatment to advance into phase 3 development.
