FORD MOTOR CO (F.N), $8.30, up 3.8 pct

Ford will report its U.S. sales for July rose from a year ago on a late-month surge under the federal government's "Cash for Clunkers" incentive program, senior U.S. executives said on Sunday. [ID:nN02484532]

HUMANA INC (HUM.N), $34.40, up 4.7 pct

The company reported second-quarter earnings that beat expectations. [ID:nN03502382]

LOEWS CORP (L.N), $30.02, Friday close

The company reported second-quarter earnings that missed expectations. [ID:nBNG496117]

3M CO (MMM.N), $72.22, up 2.4 pct

ITT CORP (ITT.N), $40.40, Friday close

Goldman Sachs upgraded Dow component 3M to "buy" from "neutral" and downgraded ITT to "neutral" from "buy." [ID:nBNG496478]

TYSON FOODS INC (TSN.N), $12, up 5 pct

The food company reported a rise in its third-quarter earnings. [ID:nN03277378]

BARNES GROUP INC (B.N), $14.07, Friday close

The company reported second-quarter earnings that beat expectations by a penny. [ID:nBNG84479]

SAVIENT PHARMACEUTICALS INC (SVNT.O), $8.90, down 43 pct

The company said on Sunday the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved its gout drug Krystexxa and that it seeks to resubmit its application to the FDA by early 2010. [ID:nN02486344]

PORTLAND GENERAL ELECTRIC CO (POR.N), $19.03, Friday close

The company reported second-quarter earnings that missed expectations. [ID:nBNG117481]

UBS AG (UBS.N) (UBSN.VX), $15.49, up 5.1 pct (U.S. shares)

Reports said the bank wouldn't have to pay a fine in a settlement of U.S. tax litigation that will be finalized later this week. [ID:nL3603032]

REGIONS FINANCIAL CORP (RF.N), $4.35, down 1.6 pct

Goldman Sachs downgraded the company to "neutral" from "buy." [ID:nBNG202176]

ICAGEN INC (ICGN.O), 63 cents, Friday close

The FDA lifted the partial clinical hold on the company's experimental epilepsy drug. [ID:nBNG461973]

HAMPTON ROADS BANKSHARES INC (HMPR.O), $5.03, down 2.3 pct

The company swung to a second-quarter loss and halted its dividend. [ID:nBNG266095]

BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY INC (BRKa.N), $97,000, Friday close

The company realized a $1.02 billion paper profit on a 10-month-old investment in BYD Co. [ID:nN31419744]

AMCORE FINANCIAL INC (AMFI.O), 99 cents, up 10 pct

JPMorgan, the company's lender, has given it a waiver and an extension of maturity. [ID:nBNG458176]

HURON CONSULTING GROUP INC (HURN.O), $14.74, down 67 pct

The company will restate results for certain periods to correct its accounting for some acquisition-related payments. [ID:nBNG455643]

COLONIAL BANCGROUP INC CNB.N, 61 cents, down 13 pct

The company said a pending $300 million investment by Taylor, Bean & Whitaker Mortgage Co has been terminated, raising doubts on the company's ability to continue as a going concern. [ID:nBNG457687]

ISTAR FINANCIAL INC (SFI.N), $2.43, Friday close

The commercial real-estate lender warned of tight liquidity in the current quarter and reported a second-quarter loss hurt by soaring provisions and charges. [ID:nBNG431089]

EBAY INC (EBAY.O), $21.95, up 3.3 pct

Barron's wrote that the company's stock could be worth more than 30 percent its current price, as a promised turnaround in its core business begins to yield results. [ID:nN02466818]

NORTHERN TRUST CORP (NTRS.O), $59.81, Friday close

Barron's wrote that the stock could rally as much as 25 percent in 2010, helped by a strong capital base. [ID:nN02483762]

ADVANCE AUTO PARTS INC (AAP.N), $46.23, Friday close

Barron's wrote that the stock could rally as more consumers opt to repair old cars rather than purchase new ones. [ID:nN02482807]
