HEADLINE STOCKS-U.S. stocks to watch on June 3

 NEW YORK, June 3 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on
June 3:
 AETNA INC (AET.N)
 The health insurance company late Tuesday cut its 2009
earnings outlook, citing higher projected medical costs for its
commercial business serving employers and lower revenue from
its Medicare plans for seniors. [ID:nN02117847]
 Shares sank 9.4 percent to $24.70 in premarket trading.
 TOLL BROTHERS INC (TOL.N)
 The company reported an adjusted second-quarter loss that
was narrower than expected. [ID:nBNG467568]
 Shares slid 0.9 percent to $19.35 in premarket trading.
 PEPSICO INC (PEP.N)
 The soft drink company late Tuesday hinted that it could
walk away from its proposed takeover of Pepsi Bottling Group
Inc (PBG.N), even as the bottler attempted to make a case for a
higher bid. [ID:nN02518140]
 Shares of PepsiCo closed Tuesday at $54.92 while Pepsi
Bottling closed at $33.99.
 AGRIUM INC (AGU.N)
 CF INDUSTRIES HOLDINGS INC(CF.N)
 Agrium affirmed its offer for CF Industries, which is for
$40 per share in cash, as well as one Agrium shares for each CF
share. Based on the June 2 closing price, the offer has a
current value of $89.01 per CF share, Agrium said.

 U.S.-listed shares of Agrium fell 1 cent to $49 in
premarket trading while CF shares rose 9 cents to $80 before
the bell.
 EXXON MOBIL CORP(XOM.N)
 Malaysian state-owned oil company Petronas [PETR.UL] signed
a production-sharing agreement with a unit of Exxon for a $2.1
billion deal to develop seven existing offshore oil fields.

 Shares of Exxon, a Dow component, slid 1 percent to $72.20
in premarket trading.
 AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP INC (AIG.N)
 The company's efforts to sell its aircraft-leasing unit are
facing headwinds and it may need help from the U.S. government
in order to reach a deal, according to a report in the New York
Post. [ID:nBNG459520]
 Shares of the insurer rose 3 cents to $1.59 in premarket
trading.
 Tessera Technologies Inc (TSRA.O)
 The company said Motorola (MOT.N) signed an agreement to
license its technology and settle all outstanding litigation
between the companies. [ID:nBNG466224]
 Shares rose 15 percent to $28.08 in after-hours trading.
 STONE ENERGY CORP (SGY.N)
 The company discovered about 125 feet of net hydrocarbon in
its deepwater Pyrenees Prospect, in which it has a 15 percent
working interest. [ID:nBNG498185]
 Shares rose 13 percent to $10.05 in trading after the
bell.
 STEEL DYNAMICS INC (STLD.O)
 The company slashed its quarterly dividend by 25 percent,
and said it plans to offer 27 million of its common shares and
$150 million of convertible senior notes due 2014 to repay
debt. [ID:nBNG498001]
 Shares fell 10 percent to $14 in after market trade.
 APPLIED SIGNAL TECHNOLOGY INC (APSG.O)
 The company, which provides intelligence, surveillance and
reconnaissance services, posted better-than-expected quarterly
results, helped by higher royalty revenue and lower stock-based
compensation expense. [ID:nBNG464930]
 Shares rose 9 percent to $24 in after market trade.
 BLUE COAT SYSTEMS INC (BCSI.O)
 The Internet-monitoring equipment maker posted a
fourth-quarter loss and it forecast first-quarter results
largely in line with market estimates. [ID:nBNG498420]
 Shares fell 4 percent to $14.99 in trading after the bell.
 BOB EVANS FARMS INC (BOBE.O)
 The restaurant chain operator posted a better-than-expected
quarterly profit, helped by lower food and labor costs at its
restaurants. [ID:nBNG458884]
 Shares rose 4 percent at $27.80 in trading after the bell.
