Suncor restarts oil sands unit after repairs

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Suncor Energy Inc (SU.TO) has restarted a processing unit at its oil sands plant after repairing damage caused by a minor fire last month, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

Suncor still expects to meet its full-year target of producing 300,000 barrels a day, plus 5 percent or minus 10 percent, from the northern Alberta operation despite the outage, spokeswoman Sneh Seetal said.

"Repairs are complete, the unit's restarted, we're back to regular operations," Seetal said. (Reporting by Jeffrey Jones; editing by Peter Galloway)
