WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Indian Ocean, 176 miles north-northeast of India's Andaman Islands at 6:08 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The temblor had a depth of 24.2 miles, USGS said. No tsunami warning had been issued as of 6:25 a.m. EDT.
