 Swiss wealth management company UBS (UBS.N) Friday said it was closing all
the offshore accounts of its U.S. clients, as it comes under pressure from U.S.
tax authorities. The authorities have alleged that UBS helped clients hide
about $18 billion of untaxed American money in undeclared accounts.

 Failed financial services company Lehman Brothers (LEHMQ.PK) Friday reached
a deal to sell its merchant banking business, according to a source familiar
with the matter. The unit, which is made up of two private equity funds, will
be told to the management of the funds.
 The price of the sale wasn't disclosed. The funds have about $4.5 billion
