ATLANTA, Aug 12 (Reuters) - CACI International (CACI.N) reported a 23 percent rise in quarterly profit, aided by rising revenue and a lower tax rate.

The company, which provides a range of technology and intelligence services to the Defense Department and U.S. civil agencies, backed a prior forecast for fiscal 2010 earnings.

Net income rose to nearly $29 million, or 95 cents a diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended June 30, up from $23.5 million, or 77 cents a share, a year earlier.

Analysts expected 92 cents a share, according to Reuters Estimates.

Revenue rose 11 percent to $728.9 million.

The company said it still expects per-share profit of $3.20 to $3.40 a share for the fiscal year that ends in the summer of 2010. Analysts expected $3.34 a share, according to Reuters Estimates.
