US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St hit by strong dollar, consumer fears

NEW YORK, Nov 12 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell broadly on Thursday as a stronger dollar weighed on commodity-linked shares and a guarded outlook from Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N) led to worries about consumer spending.

* The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI fell 94.17 points, or 0.92 percent, to 10,197.09, according to the latest available figures. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX lost 11.28 points, or 1.03 percent, to 1,087.23. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC gave up 17.88 points, or 0.83 percent, at 2,149.02.
