NEW YORK, July 13 (Reuters) - Freddie Mac (FRE.P) (FRE.N) said its sale of $3 billion of bills on Monday brought mixed rates and also drew mixed demand compared with the most recent sales of the same sizes and maturities.

Freddie Mac's $2 billion of three-month bills due Oct. 13, 2009 were sold at 0.201 percent, up from 0.187 percent for the $2 billion offering on July 6.

In addition, Freddie Mac auctioned $1 billion of six-month bills due Jan. 11, 2010 at a 0.300 percent rate, down from a 0.305 percent rate for $1 billion bills auctioned last week.

Demand for the three-month bills was stronger than last week, with a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.95 compared with 2.82 on July 6, while demand was also weaker for the six-month bills at 3.32 against 4.03 last week.

A bid-to-cover ratio reflects the amount of bids compared with the amount offered. A higher ratio indicates stronger demand, while a lower ratio indicates weaker demand.

Settlement for all bills is July 14. (Reporting by Caryn Trokie; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
