UPDATE 1-MSCI to add Maxim Integrated, Crown, Myriad

NEW YORK, May 13 (Reuters) - The MSCI World Index .MIWD00000PUS said on Wednesday it had made three large additions -- Maxim Integrated Products (MXIM.O), Crown Holdings (CCK.N) and Myriad Genetics (MYGN.O) -- as a result of a semiannual index review.

Moreover, the three largest additions in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index .MSCIEF include Kingboard Chemical Holdings (0148.HK), Ncsoft Corp (036570.KS) and Renhe Commercial Holdings (1387.HK).

Maxim Integrated is a U.S.-based firm that designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance semiconductor products, while Crown Holdings is also a U.S.-based designer, manufacturer, and seller of packaging products for consumer goods. Meanwhile, Myriad Genetics is a U.S.-based firm that relies on its molecular diagnostic products for its revenue generation and is currently seeing solid growth in this business.
