US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St climbs after FOMC minutes, Intel

NEW YORK, July 15 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks were solidly higher on Wednesday, climbing to session highs after the release of the Federal Reserve's staff forecasts in the minutes of its recent policy-setting meetings.

* Markets rallied strongly throughout the day, sparked by strong results from technology bellwether Intel Corp (INTC.O).

* The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI rose 211.38 points, or 2.53 percent, to 8,570.87. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX gained 22.76 points, or 2.51 percent, to 928.60. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC jumped 54.34 points, or 3.02 percent, to 1,854.07. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Padraic Cassidy)
