Mexico stocks rise 1.7 pct on Inbursa, Elektra

MEXICO CITY, May 19 (Reuters) - Mexican stocks jumped to their highest in seven months on Tuesday, boosted by gains in banking firm Inbursa (GFINBURO.MX) and retailer Elektra (ELEKTRA.MX).

The IPC stock index .MXX rose 1.74 percent to 24,362 points, its highest since early October. (Reporting by Michael O'Boyle; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
