NEW YORK, July 23 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Thursday:

AT&T INC (T.N)

Shares of the Dow component rose 3.8 percent to $25.78 after it reported reported second-quarter revenue that beat expectations. [ID:nN23332279]

MCDONALD'S CORP (MCD.N)

Shares of the Dow component fell 3.4 percent to $56.82 after it reported a drop in its second-quarter earnings. [ID:nN23276743]

FORD MOTOR CO (F.N)

Shares of the automaker rose 8.9 percent to $6.95 after it reported second-quarter earnings that beat expectations. [ID:nN23125106]

3M CO (MMM.N)

Shares rose 4.9 percent to $67.85 after the Dow component raised its 2009 revenue outlook. [ID:nN22327347]

BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB CO (BMY.N)

MEDAREX INC MEDX.O

Bristol will pay $2.4 billion to acquire Medarex. [ID:nN22348568] In addition, Bristol reported second-quarter earnings that beat expectations. [ID:nN23371374]

Bristol shares rose 1.2 percent to $20.53 while Medarex soared 89 percent to $15.89.

NUCOR CORP (NUE.N)

Shares rose 0.6 percent to $44.56 after the steel company reported a second-quarter loss that was narrower than expected. [ID:nN23383339]

MANPOWER INC (MAN.N)

Shares fell 0.9 percent to $45.03 after it reported an 82 percent decline in its second-quarter results but beat Wall Street estimates by a wide margin, helped by a favorable tax rate. [ID:nN22310285]

DANAHER CORP (DHR.N)

Shares fell 2.9 percent to $62.17 after the company cut its full-year earnings outlook. [ID:nN22307856]

EBAY INC (EBAY.O)

Shares rose 10 percent to $21.40 a day after it reported adjusted second-quarter results that beat expectations. [ID:nN22341857]

NII HOLDINGS INC (NIHD.O)

Shares rose 10.3 percent to $22.74 after it reported second-quarter earnings that beat expectations and backed its 2009 revenue outlook.

LIFE TIME FITNESS INC (LTM.N)

Shares rose 12.5 percent to $26.50 after the company reported second-quarter results that beat expectations and raised its fiscal 2009 earnings outlook range. [ID:nBNG499224]

POOL CORP (POOL.O)

Shares rose 14.7 percent to $21.18 after it reported second-quarter results that beat expectations. [ID:nBNG515523]

COLDWATER CREEK INC (CWTR.O)

Shares fell 3.2 percent to $5.81 after apparel retailer affirmed its expectation for a second-quarter loss. [ID:nBNG527334]

UNITED PARCEL SERVICE INC (UPS.N)

Shares fell 0.4 percent to $52.06 after it gave a lower-than-expected earnings outlook for the current quarter. [ID:nN23345988]

CREDIT SUISSE (CS.N) (CSGN.VX)

U.S.-listed shares rose 4.6 percent to $48.32 after the company reported second-quarter earnings that beat expectations. [ID:nLM402681]

QUALCOMM INC (QCOM.O)

Shares fell 3.7 percent to $46.66 after South Korea's anti-trust agency imposed a $208 million fine on the company and ordered it to stop discriminating against companies using competitor's products. [ID:nSEO193186]

AMAZON.COM INC (AMZN.O)

Shares rose 5.5 percent to $93.56 after the online retailer said would buy online shoe retailer Zappos.com [ID:nN22338756]

KIMBERLY-CLARK CORP (KMB.N)

Shares rose 3.6 percent to $56.38 after it posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit and raised its 2009 profit forecast. [ID:nN23418746]

MOODY'S CORP (MCO.N)

BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY INC (BRKa.N)

Berkshire lowered its stake in Moody's to 16.98 percent from 20.4 percent, the company's first reported reduction since 2000. [ID:nN22342367]

Moody's shares fell 7.2 percent to $24.60 while Berkshire was flat at $92,000.
