 RSC Holdings Inc (RRR.N) shares slid 5.6 percent to $8.30 on Monday after
the company said a private equity firm had distributed about three-quarters of
its stake to limited partners.
 The equipment rental provider said Ripplewood Holdings LLC, which holds
about 34 percent of outstanding common stock through two funds, had distributed
about 26.6 million shares to limited partners and will retain ownership of
about 8.2 million shares.
 Along with the share distribution, Ripplewood's four representative's on
RSC Holdings board of directors resigned.

 Oil rallied to set a 10-month high toward $75 a barrel on Monday, supported
by optimism that an economic recovery will spur a rebound in global energy
demand.

1016 ET 24Aug2009-Valero catalytic cracker unit restarted, shares rise

 Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) said on Monday it restarted a
70,000-barrel-per-day fluid catalytic cracker unit at its Memphis, Tennessee,
refinery over the weekend following repairs to fix a leak.
 On Aug. 6, Valero said it shut the gasoline-making FCC unit at the
180,000-bpd Memphis plant in order to repair a leak in the flue gas cooler.

 A Democratic senator is expected on Monday to ask the Securities and
Exchange Commission to review the stock market's structures, Dow Jones
Newswires reported, reviving a debate over the market impact of computer-based
trading.
 Ted Kaufman, a long-time adviser to Vice President Joe Biden, said
regulatory moves in the past decade have had the unintended consequence of
making the stock market too fragmented, according to a letter to be sent to SEC
Chairman Mary Schapiro that was reviewed by the news agency.
