UPDATE 1-Coke Hellenic to distribute Campbell soups in Russia
* Coca-Cola Hellenic to expand Campbell's Russian reach
* Russia one of key emerging markets for Campbell
CHICAGO, May 26 (Reuters) - Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Co (HLBr.AT) will distribute Campbell Soup Co's (CPB.N) soups in Russia, expanding the world's largest soup company's presence in a key emerging market, the companies said on Tuesday.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Coca-Cola Hellenic is the largest beverage distributor in Russia, Campbell said.
Campbell entered the Russian market in 2007 in the Moscow area and sells "Campbell's Domashnaya Klassika," or "Campbell's Home Classics," and currently sells mushroom, beef and mushroom, chicken and beef broths in the country.
The move into Russia, along with a similar move into China brought Campbell into two of the largest soup-eating countries in the world.
Coca-Cola Hellenic currently distributes Campbell's Home Classics products in the Moscow region and in August 2009 plans to expand distribution to over 100 cities and 12 regions of Russia, with further nationwide distribution to follow, Campbell said.
