NEW YORK, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Shares of Medicines Co (MDCO.O) rose 9.5 percent to $8.29 in premarket trading on Monday after the company said its anticlotting drug improved overall survival in patients who had suffered the most severe form of heart attack and received angioplasty.
