BRIEF-Norsk Hydro expects weak results in Q4

OSLO, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Norwegian aluminium producer Norsk Hydro (NHY.OL) said on Tuesday:

* Q3 loss due frail global economy, low aluminium prices, weak U.S. dollar

* Completed capacity reduction, cost cutting programmes due downturn

* Cautious on outlook for global aluminium demand

* To sell automotive parts business

* To sell auto parts business to German Benteler, transaction cash neutral

* To recognise NOK 250 mln loss from auto parts business sale in Q4

* Qatalum start up seen around turn of the year

* No further substantial improvement in aluminium demand expected in 2009

* Expects continued weak results in Q4

* Expects charges related to build up of Qatalum in Q4
