BEIJING/SHANGHAI, June 10 (Reuters) - Chinese newspapers available in Beijing and Shanghai carried the following stories on Wednesday. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.

CHINA SECURITIES JOURNAL

-- Chinese investors should fully learn that the country's Nasdaq-style stock board brings relatively high risks while providing the possibility of high investment returns, Zhou Ming, the vice president of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, warned at a briefing.

-- Newly-added trading accounts amounted to 317,509 last week, marking the highest in the past six weeks, thanks to relatively active performance in China's stock market, official statistics showed.

-- A joint venture between Beiqi Foton Motor Co (600166.SS) and Cummins Inc (CMI.N), which can produce 400,000 units of auto engines, started operations on Tuesday.

SHANGHAI SECURITIES NEWS

-- China Coal Energy Co (1898.HK) (601898.SS), China's second-largest miner, said it produced 42.03 million tonnes of raw coal in the first five months of this year, up 1.5 percent from the same period last year.

-- Property developer Zhejiang Guangsha Co Ltd (600052.SS) says it plans to raise 1.2 billion yuan via a share placement to mainly fund a project in Dongyang of Zhejiang province of eastern China.

CHINA BUSINESS NEWS

-- A total of 23 big- and medium-sized Chinese cities are likely to build up their underground transportation systems by 2020, with a combined expected investment of 1 trillion yuan, an official at the National Development and Reform Commission said.

-- Xinwen Lianbo, the country's most authoritative and popular news programme, will change its format to include more human-interest segments and critical reportage from June 20.
