RPT-Seoul shares rise; Kumho Asiana, Daewoo E&C rally

SEOUL, June 29 (Reuters) - Seoul shares rose on Monday, led by Kumho Asiana Group issues, which rallied after news of the parent group's plans to sell Daewoo Engineering (047040.KS).

Kumho Industrial (002990.KS) advanced 5.9 percent and Daewoo Engineering & Construction jumped 12.06 percent.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) was up 0.19 percent at 1397.21 points as of 0003 GMT.
