LG Elec says to invest $100 mln in Mexico

SEOUL, July 7 (Reuters) - LG Electronics Inc (066570.KS) plans to invest $100 million in Mexico in the next three years to expand its market presence and workforce there, the company said on Tuesday.

LG Electronics said in a filing to the Korea Exchange that it aimed to raise annual production in Mexico to $4.0 billion by 2012 from $2.6 billion in 2008. (Reporting by Cheon Jong-woo; Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
