Singapore Hot Stocks-Financials in focus on Geithner's remarks

 SINGAPORE, April 22 (Reuters) - Financials may be in focus
on Wednesday after U.S. banks rallied on the remarks by a
senior administration official that the sector has enough
capital to keep lending.
 U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday following comments by Treasury
Secretary Timothy Geithner that most banks have sufficient
reserves to protect against possible losses, sparking a rebound
in bank shares. > Wall St gains as banks lifted by Geithner

remains     [USD/] > Bonds slump as stocks rebound on less bank
fear        [US/] > Gold turns lower as shares rally; rhodium

 Stocks and factors to watch:
 -- MOBILEONE (MONE.SI)
 -  MobileOne, the smallest of Singapore's three telecom
operators, on Tuesday named Karen Kooi Lee Wah as its new chief
executive officer, replacing Neil Montefiore who quit in

-- K-REIT ASIA (KASA.SI)
-  K-Reit Asia, Keppel Land's listed trust, said on Tuesday
its first quarter distribution per unit fell 48 percent to 2.38
Singapore cents compared to last year after a rights issue.

-  Ascott Reit said on Tuesday its first quarter
distribution per unit fell 24 percent to 1.77 Singapore cents

- The education group said on Tuesday it will inject five

they expect to report a loss for their first quarter results
ending March 31 mainly due to the global economic slowdown.

- Singapore's benchmark Straits Times Index .FTSTI rose
0.66 percent to 1,887.25 points on Tuesday.
 - The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI gained 1.63
percent to 7,969.56 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC
was up by 2.22 percent to 1,643.85 points.
