STRAITS TIMES
- Singapore Telecommunications (STEL.SI) won the bid to broadcast English Premier League soccer matches for three seasons starting next year on its Mio pay-TV service.
SingTel also said ESPN Star will move its channels to Mio TV from Starhub (STAR.SI). SingTel did not say how much it paid to for the Premier League broadcast rights, but analysts estimate SingTel paid as much as S$400 million ($283.1 million).
- Singapore will increase the supply of government-built HDB apartments in coming months to keep housing prices affordable amid a boom in the property market.

- Tycoon Oei Hong Leong has dropped his multi-million dollar lawsuit against Citigroup's (C.N) private bank. Citi and Oei, who alleged the U.S. bank had provided unreliable information about his margin positions, said the terms of the settlement were confidential.
