SINGAPORE, June 25 (Reuters) - The following are stories from Singapore newspapers on Thursday. Reuters has not verified these stories.

THE STRAITS TIMES

- Singapore's Republic Polytechnic ordered around 4,500 students and some staff to stay at home for seven days from Thursday after nine cases of influenza A were confirmed there.

- The Asian Youth Games will not be halted unless the H1N1 virus spreads widely among athletes or if participating countries start pulling out.

BUSINESS TIMES

- Water treatment company Hyflux limited (HYFL.SI) said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement to build two water desalination plants in Libya, a deal which analysts said could be worth more than S$1 billion ($686.8 million).

- ST Engineering (STEG.SI) unit, ST Aerospace, said on Wednesday it has won two separate contracts worth a total of S$48 million. ($1=1.456 Singapore Dollar)
