- Singapore will allow more dentists from Southeast Asia and India to practice in Singapore to ease a shortage.

BUSINESS TIMES

- Singapore's reserves would be protected if an opposition party won power in the future, since the use of the country's rainy day fund would need the President's consent, former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew said.

- Shipping trust First Ship Lease Trust has secured a two-year waiver from the loan-to-value convenant for its credit facility, though it comes at a higher price of a 50 to 70 basis point increase in the interest margin during the waiver period.
