ExxonMobil near deal on potential LNG sales-partner

PERTH, June 22 (Reuters) - ExxonMobil (XOM.N), operator of a liquefied natural gas project in Papua New Guinea, is nearing agreement on LNG sales with three major buyers in Asia, venture partner Oil Search Ltd (OSH.AX) said on Monday.

The potential sales to the Asian buyers are for a total of about 4.3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) and is in addition to a sales agreement previously announced for 2 mtpa, Oil Search said in a statement. (Reporting by Fayen Wong)
