Minara says in talks over BHP Ravensthorpe sale

SYDNEY, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Australian nickel miner Minara Resources Ltd (MRE.AX) is participating in the sale process of BHP Billiton Ltd's (BHP.AX) Ravensthorpe nickel mine in Australia, Minara said on Monday.

Minara said the process was subject to strict confidentiality obligations. As part of its due diligence, Minara is exploring various funding options. There is no certainty of the outcome of Minara's participation in the sale process, it added.

BHP shut the Ravensthorpe mine in January. (Reporting by Jonathan Standing)
