TOKYO, Oct 10 (Reuters) - U.S. investment firm Oaktree Capital Management said it would extend the deadline for its tender offer to buy shares in Re-Plus Residential Investment (8986.T) for the second time.

Oaktree will continue the offer to buy the shares for another month until Nov 10 as it wants to allow investors "more time to make a well informed decision," the fund said on Friday.

Last month Oaktree extended the deadline until Oct 10 from Oct 7.

Oaktree said in August it would raise its stake in Re-plus Residential to 48 percent by offering 260,000 yen a stock in the first tender offer for a real estate trust in Japan.

Shares in Re-Plus Residential were down 11.3 percent at 85,700 yen as of 0130 GMT. (Reporting by Junko Fujita; Editing by Sophie Hardach)
