FACTBOX-Japan smelters' metal output plans for H2 08/09

TOKYO, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Japan's Nittetsu Mining Co Ltd (1515.T) said on Friday it expected copper output of 25,108 tonnes in the second half of the year started in October, down 0.5 percent from 25,230 tonnes a year earlier.

It was the latest Japanese smelter to announce its production plans, which began this week and is expected to take place until mid-October.

The following table, which will be updated as figures become available, provides the latest output plans.

It shows scheduled production of base metals at Japanese smelters for the second half of the year to end-March 2009, with comparisons against estimated output in the first half of the year, and actual production in the second half of the year ended in March (in tonnes):
