TAIPEI, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Taiwan's Amtran Technology (2489.TW), maker of the Vizio brand of flat-screen TVs, sees its global TV shipments rising 60-70 percent next year to about 7 million units, a top executive said on Wednesday.

Amtran Chairman Alpha Wu told Reuters on the sidelines of a company event that shipments from its China plants were expected to double in 2010. (US$1=T$32.9) (Reporting by Baker Li, Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
