Ford shares drop on GM news pare losses

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Ford Motor Corp stock dropped 5 percent before quickly paring losses on Friday after competitor General Motors Corp posted a quarterly loss and tumbling revenues.

Ford shares were down 2 percent to $1.94, while GM shares slipped 13 percent to $4.18 after falling as much as 16 percent.
