MINRANSHAH - Militants shot dead three people, including two Afghans and one Pakistani, accused of being U.S. spies in the North Waziristan region on the Afghan border, government officials and residents said Monday.
A note left with the bodies said the killings were "a gift" for "the U.S. foreign minister" and warned that others spies would face the same fate.
North Waziristan is a lawless sanctuary for al Qaeda and Taliban militants.
