BMW car sales in U.S. rise 1 percent in Dec

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - BMW (BMWG.DE) said on Thursday it sold 1 percent more cars in the United States in December than a year ago.

The company sold 33,761 cars last month in the country, compared with 33,417 cars sold in the same month a year earlier. That brought car sales for the whole year to 335,840 cars, 7.1 percent more than in 2006.
