FMC acquires Renal Solutions for $190 mln

FRANKFURT, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Germany's Fresenius Medical Care (FMEG.DE) bought Renal Solutions for up to $190 million to strengthen its dialysis business, FMC said on Thursday.

FMC also confirmed its mid-term targets.

"With this acquisition, Fresenius Medical Care expects to increase its annual research and development spending by approximately $10 million starting in 2008," Ben Lipps, chief executive of FMC, said in a statement.

"Our mid-term financial targets for the years 2007 through 2010 remain unchanged," he added. (Reporting by Eva Kuehnen)
