NEW YORK, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. (HOV.N) is "not looking actively right now" at mergers or the possibility of selling the company, Chief Executive Ara Hovnanian said on CNBC Television on Wednesday.

Hovnanian's family owns a controlling stake in the company, he added.
