NZ's PGG Wrightson, Pyne Gould Corp on trading halt

WELLINGTON, June 30 (Reuters) - New Zealand companies PGG Wrightson (PGW.NZ) and Pyne Gould Corporation (PGC.NZ) were both placed on trading halt on Monday. Shares in PGG Wrightson closed on Friday at NZ$2.60, having traded between NZ$1.65 and NZ$2.77 over the past year.

Shares in Pyne Gould Corp, which owns 22 percent of PGG Wrightson, closed on Friday at NZ$3.45, after ranging between NZ$3.15 and NZ$4.60 over the past year.

The trading halts were placed at the request of the companies, with an announcement expected before midday.
