Hi-Tech Pharmacal gets FDA nod for generic cough drug

Feb 11 (Reuters) - Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co Inc (HITK.O) said it received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its generic version of Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc's (ENDP.O) cough drug, Hycodan.

The company said that the drug, hydrocodone bitartrate and homatropine methylbromide syrup, had sales of about $5 million for 2006, citing IMS data.
