National Health Investors receives loan payoff of $44.5 mln

July 11 (Reuters) - National Health Investors Inc. (NHI.N) said it received a payoff of $44.5 million at par of a mortgage loan investment, that will have a positive impact of $21.3 million on earnings during the third quarter.

The fund received is expected to decrease interest income in 2007 by about $1 million as the company plans to invest the funds in short-term investments, the healthcare real estate financer said in a statement. (Reporting by Anup Roy in Bangalore)
