Jan 17 (Reuters) - Medical device supplier AngioDynamics Inc (ANGO.O) said a U.S. judge denied a motion for contempt filed by Diomed Holdings Inc DIO.A in July last year alleging that AngioDynamics violated a permanent injunction issued by the court.

A federal court on July 2, 2007, had granted Diomed a permanent injunction against AngioDynamics in a patent dispute over the endovascular laser treatment of varicose veins.

AngioDynamics has appealed the outcome of the litigation. Oral arguments are expected to be presented to a three-judge panel in March or April 2008, the company said in a statement. (Reporting by Manish Gupta in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
