Oct 24 (Reuters) - AVI BioPharma Inc (AVII.O) said it will restate financial results from 2004 to 2006 and the first two quarters of 2007 due to reclassification of certain warrants as liabilities, after the U.S. regulators raised questions.

The changes will have a material impact on its previous financial results. However, there will be no effect on cash flows, the drug developer said in a statement. (Reporting by Neha Pathania in Bangalore)
