DUBLIN, Ireland--(Business Wire)--
Research and Markets
(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c92859) has announced the
addition of "Unwired Australia Pty Ltd" to their offering.

Unwired currently provides a type of proprietary, pre-WiMAX
wireless broadband Internet services to the residential, SOHO and SME
markets, which have the ability to handle voice and data
communications. The company uses technology developed by US-based
Navini Networks. Unwired has acquired sufficient spectrum in the
2.3GHz and 3.4-3.5GHz ranges to enable it to deliver broadband
Internet access, VoIP telephony and multimedia communications to
approximately 64% of the Australian population.

Unwired has formed an alliance with pay TV broadcaster Austar and
has signed an agreement with Google to incorporate Google's search
technology into a portal-style homepage. By 2007, Unwired was
delivering services throughout the Sydney CBD and its Melbourne
service was up and running. Having initially targeted an early 2008
rollout for mobile WiMAX based on the its 802.16e stand, Unwired has
now pushed back plans, to possibly to late 2008, following its
unsuccessful bid for Broadband Connect funding with Soul and Austar.
