AirTran Airways Documents Mystical Aviator's One-Night World Tour

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a
subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), is pleased to present its
third and final Satellite-based Aviation Navigational Tracking Apparatus
(S.A.N.T.A) report. The following information regarding Santa Claus'
international flight is based on data invented at AirTran Airways' System
Operations Control (SOC) center in Orlando:
-- Santa stopped in Germany to visit some of the world's top car makers.
It seems his sled was in the need of a few upgrades -- XM Satellite
Radio, electric seat-warmers and a cup holder for milk glasses on the
go. Of course, he passed on a GPS locator, claiming real men don't
       need directions.

-- The next detour for Santa's busy group was a visit to the central
mountains of Norway, home to Europe's only herds of wild reindeer and
the original home to many of Santa's magical reindeer.

-- Following a quick backtrack to Switzerland for Santa to pick up a new
watch for Father Time, who is always late for their lunch meetings,
Rudolph guided the sleigh across the Atlantic and through dense clouds
in Newfoundland, the foggiest province in the world.

-- As Santa moved south, the AirTran Airways technicians mysteriously lost
radar contact when his sleigh entered the airspace off the coast of
       Bermuda.

It is apparent that Santa's heading stateside - it is AirTran Airways'
recommendation that all believers have their milk and cookies ready in
anticipation of his arrival. On behalf of AirTran Airways' Crew Members, the
S.A.N.T.A. Team would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season:
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD FLIGHT!
