Iron Mountain Digital's Connected(R) Backup Solution Adds Support for Mac OS X
Platform

Leading Online Backup Solution Protects Vital Data for Enterprises Using Mac
and PC Computers

BOSTON and SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Iron Mountain
Digital, the technology arm of Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM) and the
leading provider of Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) for backup and archiving,
announced at the Macworld 2009 Conference & Expo in San Francisco today that
its Connected(R) Backup solution will be available in March 2009 for Mac
users. The Connected Backup solution provides businesses of all sizes with the
ability to protect vital corporate data, regardless of computer platform,
through secure and reliable online data recovery and unmatched scalability.

The Connected Backup solution with Mac support provides the same award-winning
features as Connected Backup for PC, including fast, automatic backup without
user interruption or IT intervention; an end to data loss from viruses,
misplaced or stolen laptops, data corruption and user error; and finally, the
solution gives IT control of secure backup and restoration both inside and
beyond company firewalls. The solution also enables IT to centrally manage
distributed data backup from Mac or PC laptops outside of the office.
Customers on PC or Mac computers can retrieve lost or damaged files without
help desk support with anytime/anywhere system rollback even when away from
the office. The solution's patented data reduction technologies reduce
storage needs by up to 85 percent.

"The number of enterprise Mac users is on the rise and companies are in need
of the same high-level data backup and protection available for PCs to protect
vital corporate data," said Cieran Cosgrave, head of managed services, 2e2, an
Iron Mountain Digital channel partner. "Iron Mountain Digital's addition of
Mac support allows us to offer our customers the highest level of security for
their corporate data regardless of their computer platforms."

Additionally, Connected Backup solution with Mac support provides the
following essential functions:
-- Seamless Backup - Enables rapid, automatic and unintrusive backup of
Mac
or PC data, even over dial-up connections.
-- Unbeatable Security - Data is encrypted at the desktop and is kept
encrypted both during transmission and in storage; also, quickly
repairs
damaged or corrupted applications, configurations and files on any
Mac;
"rolling back" a Mac quickly to a previously working state
puts an end to user downtime without needing assistance from the help
        desk.
-- Anytime, Anywhere Data Recovery - Data recovery can be managed with
just
a few mouse clicks and users have access to their data at anytime,
using
any PC/Mac with a working web browser, from any location through a
secure Internet connection using the product's MyROAM(TM) feature.
-- Unmatched scalability and data reduction - Protect and restore data
from
as few as five to hundreds of thousands of Macs, using one centrally
managed tool; and reduce storage requirements and costs through the
product's Delta Block(R) technology that ensures only data changes
and newly created files are backed up, and with SendOnce(R) technology
that ensures identical files located on multiple machines, including
email attachments, are recognized and backed up only once.

"As a proven leader in enterprise storage-as-a-service, Iron Mountain Digital
is proud to offer its customers a best-of-breed, fully-integrated data
protection solution to support smart and cost-effective backup and recovery
needs for a wide range of businesses," said John Clancy, president, Iron
Mountain Digital. "The Connected Backup solution provides enterprises using
Mac and/or PC computers with unmatched peace of mind as Iron Mountain Digital
works behind the scenes to keep businesses on track and valuable data safe and
secure."
