Central DuPage Hospital's Orthopedics Ranks in U.S. News Media Group's 2008
Edition of America's Best Hospitals for the Second Consecutive Year

WINFIELD, Ill., July 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Central DuPage Hospital
(CDH) of Winfield, Ill. has been ranked #47 in Orthopedics in U.S. News' 2008
publication of America's Best Hospitals, accessible today online at
www.usnews.com/besthospitals and on sale at newsstands Monday, July 14.

Out of the 5,453 hospitals reviewed, only 170 medical centers nationwide
ranked high enough by the 2008 America's Best Hospitals standards to be listed
in one or more of the 16 specialties.

"Talent and money alone don't put hospitals in the rankings," says Best
Hospitals editor Avery Comarow. "The truly best hospitals are never
satisfied," he said. "Of course they have high medical standards. But the
emphasis is not only on doing well, but always doing better."

"Achieving this recognition for the second consecutive year is a testament to
our entire hospital community. Our patients benefit from fine surgeons,
excellent nurses and staff, and, our ongoing commitment to state-of-the-art
technology," says Luke McGuinness, Chief Executive Officer of CDH.
"Investments in new programs and expanded capacity are rooted in our desire to
meet the needs of our patients and physicians alike. It is always an honor to
be recognized and to know these efforts are well received."

Methodology
The rankings in 12 of the 16 specialties weigh three elements equally:
reputation, death rate and a set of care-related factors such as nursing and
patient services. In these 12 specialties, hospitals have to pass through
several gates to be ranked and considered a Best Hospital:

1. The first gate determines whether a hospital is eligible to be ranked at
all by requiring that any of three conditions be met -- to be a teaching
hospital, to be affiliated with a teaching hospital, or to have at least six
important medical technologies from a defined list of 13.

2. The second gate determines whether a hospital is eligible to be ranked in a
particular specialty. To be eligible, the hospital had to either have at least
a specified volume in certain procedures and conditions over three years, or
had to have been nominated in our yearly specialist survey.

3. The third gate is whether a hospital does well enough to be ranked, based
on its reputation, death rate, and factors like nurse staffing and technology.

This award is one of many achieved by Central DuPage Hospital within the last
two years. The 361-bed facility has been recognized as a Thomson Reuters 100
Top Hospital in 2006 and 2007, has received awards in Clinical Excellence,
Coronary Intervention, Gastrointestinal Surgery, Gastrointestinal Care,
Pulmonary Care, Stroke Care, Critical Care, Patient Safety and Joint
Replacement from HealthGrades and has earned the Hospital and Health Networks
Most Wired Award.
