Deutsche Beteiligungs AG: Sale of stake in Lewa GmbH

Mon Jul 6, 2009 8:44am EDT
MUNICH--(Business Wire)--
Announcement consistent with § 15 WpHG (German Securities Trading Act) Deutsche
Beteiligungs AG, WKN 550 810 / DE0005508105

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG sells stake in Lewa GmbH

Result of disposal approximately ten million euros

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG signed a contract today on the sale of its stake in
Lewa GmbH, Leonberg (13.6 percent). The sales price agreed for the interests
exceeds the most recent valuation contained in the interim financial report at
30 April 2009 (first half-year) by some ten million euros and will,
correspondingly, deliver a positive contribution towards the net result of
valuation and disposal for the current third quarter. A prediction on the total
result for the third quarter (31 July 2009) is not yet possible, since the other
portfolio investments can only be valuated after the close of the quarter. It
cannot be precluded that negative value movements of other portfolio companies
might offset a part of the positive contribution stemming from the divestment.

The contract signed today is subject to regulatory approval. The transaction is
expected to be completed within a month. Deutsche Beteiligungs AG will receive
cash funds of approximately 21 million euros through the sale; this equates to
about 1.54 euros per share.
